PC Decadent Chocolate Chunks Cookie Recipe
I love chocolate chip cookies, but sometimes you just need even more chocolate. This is why, I purchased President’s Choice Decedent Chocolate Chunks.
I had never made chocolate chunk cookies before, and I wanted to see how their recipe turned out.
As I finished preparing the dough, I was left with not enough batter, and several chunks left over. I would definitely alter the amount of certain ingredients next time. It did not make 32 large cookies like the recipe states, but 25 cookies- as seen in the photo below.
Also, I am not used to cookies not spreading a bit more while baking. These cookies came out of the oven almost looking like the balls of dough I had put on the baking sheets. I left them in for the full 11 minutes, but be sure to keep an eye on yours while baking.
I was skeptical, but they taste quite good. They are not the best cookies I’ve ever had, but who can complain when there are chocolate chunks involved?
Liam also loved to help me make them, so they are another toddler friendly recipe. Let your kids help by pouring in the ingredients, or stirring. It always makes for a fun activity!
1/2 Cup softened butter
3/4 Cup Brown Sugar
1 Tsp Vanilla
1½ Cups All-Purpose Flour
1/2 Tsp Baking Soda
226 g PC Decadent Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks
Preheat oven to 350°F.
Cream the butter and brown sugar together. Beat in the egg and vanilla.
Gradually stir in the flour and baking soda. Stir in the chocolate chunks.
Drop heaping tablespoon sized dough balls onto ungreased baking sheets. Leave about 5 cm between each one.
Bake for 9-11 minutes. Cool for 2 minutes.
Have you made these cookies? Did you find something was a bit odd when it came to the dough/chunk ratio? If you have other chocolate chunk recipes, please let me know!
