Posted on March 27, 2022May 4, 2022 by At Home With Joanna

There are a lot of things that you need to think about when it comes to improving your home and making positive changes for the future right now. One of the key things you have to try to make the most of is to ensure your home smells as great as possible. There are plenty of things that you can do to improve the way your property smells. It is important that you come up with some easy ways to help you achieve this.

Your home can pick up all sorts of unpleasant smells for a multitude of reasons; be it from the fridge, the garbage, pets, and smoke. Smoke is one of the most unpleasant smells and is so difficult to get rid of when compared to many other odors. Having a pleasant smelling home is important for presenting a nice environment and being happier with where you live. Here are 3 key tips that can help you when it comes to removing unpleasant smoke odor from the home.

Air Freshener

Air fresheners are an excellent option when it comes to eliminating smoke odor from your home. Many air fresheners are made to absorb the bad odors and replace them with more pleasant smells. Thus making the rest of the property smell nice in the process. Keeping your home’s interior fragrant and fresh makes for a more pleasant place to spend time in. It becomes somewhere you are proud to live, but it will also be a place that people want to visit.

By doing your best to keep the air fresh, you will soon begin to cut through that smoke smell. If you have a smoker in the household, (they aren’t prepared to quit), perhaps other arrangements need to be made. For example, make an arrangement where it is absolutely necessary for them to smoke outside. Many rental homes have these regulations in their contracts anyway!

Hire Professionals

Hiring professionals is often necessary when it comes to removing unpleasant smoke smells from your home. If there has been fire damage, there could be a foul smoke smell left behind. Unfortunately, this is something that can remain for a long time. It can be difficult to remove this odor from the home by conventional means. This is why it is recommended to get in touch with fire damage restoration experts! They are the proper professionals to have deal with the smoke odor-causing problems in your home.

DIY Concoction

There are plenty of DIY concoctions that you can use to improve the smell of the home. Several of these deal with the unpleasant smoke odor. One of the most popular and effective ways is to create a mix of 75% vinegar and 25% water. Use this to remove the smells that were probably absorbed by the walls! Many worry that the vinegar smell will simply mix horribly with the smell of the smoke. However, white vinegar is a more natural way to cut through smells!

Removing unpleasant smoke odor from your home is crucial for ensuring your property is a nice and pleasant place to be. There are so many ideas when it comes to eliminating smoke odor! And, it is one of the key ways in which you can improve your home to make it better for the future.
