Chicken is a versatile and affordable protein that can be used in a variety of dishes. There are also endless creative ways to cook chicken. In this post, we’ll share some delicious and creative chicken recipes that are sure to become new favorites in your household.

Chicken Shawarma

Shawarma is a Middle Eastern dish made with thinly sliced meat (such as chicken, lamb, or beef) that is cooked on a spit and served in a pita or wrap. To make chicken shawarma at home, marinate chicken breasts in a mixture of yogurt, lemon juice, and spices (cumin, paprika, and garlic) for at least 2 hours (or overnight). Grill or broil the chicken until it is cooked through, then slice it into thin strips. Serve the chicken with pita bread, lettuce, tomato, and a yogurt sauce.

This Indian dish is made with marinated pieces of chicken that are grilled or baked, then served in a creamy tomato-based sauce. To make chicken tikka masala at home, marinate chicken breasts in a mixture of yogurt, lemon juice, and spices (such as cumin, paprika, and garam masala). Grill or bake the chicken until it is cooked through, then cut it into bite-sized pieces.

In a separate pan, sauté onions, garlic, and ginger until they are soft. Add canned tomatoes, heavy cream, and a pinch of sugar, and simmer until the sauce is thickened. Add the cooked chicken to the sauce and heat through. Serve over rice or with naan bread.

Chicken Fajitas

Fajitas are a Tex-Mex dish made with grilled or sautéed peppers and onions, and slices of protein (chicken, beef, or shrimp). To make chicken fajitas at home, slice bell peppers and onions into thin strips. Sauté the vegetables in a pan until they are tender. Season slices of chicken breast with chili powder, cumin, and paprika, then add them to the pan with the vegetables. Cook until the chicken is cooked through. Serve the chicken and vegetables in warm tortillas, with toppings such as cheese, salsa, and sour cream.

Chicken Chili

Chicken chili is a hearty and flavorful meal that can be made in just a few minutes using an electric pressure cooker. This recipe combines tender chunks of chicken, kidney beans, black beans, diced tomatoes, and green chilies in a spicy tomato-based broth.

Topped with cheese, sour cream, and green onions, this dish is sure to become a family favorite. In truth, there are many ways to make it, and this instant pot chicken chili recipe is a good place to start.

Chicken Cordon Bleu

This classic French dish consists of chicken breasts stuffed with ham and cheese, then breaded and baked. To make chicken cordon bleu at home, pound chicken breasts until they are about 1/4 inch thick. Place a slice of ham and a slice of cheese on top of each chicken breast. Roll the chicken up tightly and secure it with toothpicks. Dip the chicken in beaten eggs, then coat it with breadcrumbs. Bake the chicken in a 350°F oven for 20-25 minutes, or until it is cooked through.

As you can see, there are several ways to prepare chicken that will impress any guest you have. Simply double-check with your guests to ensure that there are no allergies, dietary restrictions, or food sensitivities prior to cooking the meal. This not only ensures that everyone will enjoy the meal, but it also shows your guests that you truly care about their specific needs.
