Frite Sauce Poutinerie Moderne

“Poutinerie”, what a lovely word.  I am completely obsessed with poutine.  Can you tell I live in Montreal, QC? Located at 3343 Boulevard des Sources Dollard-des-Ormeaux, QC H9B 1Z8, Frite Sauce is an amazing restaurant where you can order one of their ten specialty poutines, or build your own.

They have such a large variety of toppings, it would take a year to eat every poutine you could make.

We ordered The Club (frite brown sauce topped with bacon, diced tomato, pulled chicken and Oka cheese), The Lobster (tangy thai brown sauce topped with lemon and lime wedges, lobster meat, and fresh cheese curds), and a customized poutine made of the Jersey Shore fries, hot dog, Italian sausage and cheese curds.

Everything was delicious!

I love lobster, so having it in a poutine was delicious, however, the lemon and lime were a bit too strong.  I think I would build my own poutine next time and just add lobster meat.  The Club was very tasty and we were very happy with our choices.  While we did not purchase any, they also have a fridge full of assorted drinks.

The portions are huge.  Even the regular, which costs $11.95, and is the smallest option, made me full when I was halfway done.  For everything you get, it is a great price.

The restaurant itself is very clean and open.  You are able to watch them make your meal, which is something I always enjoy.  The staff is also very friendly.  She made sure we knew all of our options since it was our first time being there and we got our meals in just a few minutes.  I would definitely go back for another meal.

Their website states that online ordering will be available soon, which will be very convenient for everyone.
