Hockey Night at Dollar Cinema

Hockey Night at Dollar Cinema: Benefiting the Saku Koivu Cancer Foundation

I have already written about how amazing Dollar Cinema  is, but it just got even better!  Tonight, I attended their second Hockey Night and I will definitely be going back for another game.

For a donation of $3, (tonight the profits went to the Saku Koivu Cancer Foundation), you get to watch the game on the big theatre screen surrounded by fellow Habs fans.  If you wear your Habs gear, you get a free popcorn for showing your Habs pride!

We sat pretty close to the front of the theatre!  Even though we lost 3-4 it was still a BUNCH of fun.

It was quite a different feeling to be watching hockey in a movie theatre but it was a lot of fun to cheer with everyone each time the Montreal Canadiens scored a goal.  Even though we lost 3-4 tonight, it was still a LOT of fun to experience the hockey game in a new way.

The cinema is also large and can fit enough people that you can gather a whole group of your friends or coworkers and make a night of it!

Therefore, for the amount of a small donation, you get to watch your favorite team face off with our rivals on a movie theatre screen, get popcorn and sit surrounded by fellow hockey fans all the while knowing your money is going towards a good cause.  What more can you ask for?

Their next movie night will be January 17th, when the Habs go up against the Blackhawks at 7 P.M.  with the profits still benefiting a charity (which charity will be disclosed closer to the date).  So, you read this far down… are you ready for the exciting news?
