Big companies are usually busy trying to be everything to everyone, which can leave them feeling a little watered down. You, on the other hand, have the chance to pick a niche and own it. Maybe you’re the bakery that does sourdough like no one else or the bookstore with a killer poetry section—whatever it is, run with it! Don’t be shy about letting people know you’re skilled at what you’re offering!

Keep It Real With Your Customers

Big companies can’t pull off those real, down-to-earth connections like you can. Folks love it when they feel like more than just another sale.
